In early September last year, when the breeze started to feel cool and crisp,
we took our little baby Mideum on a trip to Dumulmeori in Yangpyeong.
If you’re planning a trip to Yangpyeong with your baby,
I hope this late but heartfelt review of our visit to Dumulmeori helps you out!
It’s been a while, but the memories are still so vivid—I just had to write them down.
The name Dumulmeori literally means “the head of two waters,”
as it’s where the Bukhan River and Namhan River come together to become one.
With misty morning views, tall zelkova trees, a traditional ferry boat,
and the calm flow of water—
this place was a peaceful and beautiful spot for a walk with our baby.

Dumulmeori is where the Bukhan River and Namhan River come together to form one.
Just like its name—“the head of two waters”—it’s a beautiful spot where two riverheads meet, creating one of the most peaceful and scenic places in Yangpyeong.
It’s only about an hour from Seoul,
making it a perfect day trip destination—even if you’re traveling with a baby!
Parking Tip for Dumulmeori
To be honest, parking at Dumulmeori on weekends is a total battlefield!
Luckily, we visited on a weekday and found a spot at Dumulmeori Public Parking Lot No. 5, located right under the bridge!
It’s about a 10-minute walk from there to the main area.
Daddy carried Mideum in a baby carrier while I held an umbrella—
it was raining a little, but honestly, it made everything feel even more romantic!
Oh, and parking is completely free!! Total budget win!

Walking Around Dumulmeori with My Baby
It was during the days when my little one was still in a baby carrier~
Strolling through Dumulmeori with my 10-month-old cutie, Mideum,
those moments were so precious… I truly miss them

My baby always gets super excited whenever we go outside!
Even though it was a cloudy day, it actually made the atmosphere feel even more peaceful and cozy.
If you’re visiting with a baby, be sure to bring a stroller!
The paths are nice and flat—perfect for pushing a stroller around~ 👣

One of them looks like he has a whole story behind those eyes… 😂

We snapped a photo of the three of us—Daddy, the baby, and me! 📷
We also took a solo shot of Mideum, and honestly… he looked like a baby with a deep, mysterious backstory LOL 😆
Lotus Season at Dumulmeori
We visited in early September and… oh no… there was only one lotus flower left! 😅
But honestly, it felt like that one flower was waiting just for us, and it made me so emotional 🥹💕

The best time to see the lotus flowers at Dumulmeori is from late July to early August.
If you want to catch them in full bloom, make sure to plan your visit during summer~!

Finally!!! We got to try the famous Dumulmeori lotus corn dog everyone talks about!! 🤩
I was so excited—it’s been on my must-eat list for ages!

There’s always a long line on weekends, so I could never try it before…
But on a weekday—no line at all, and I finally got my hands on one! 🙌
It costs 3,500 won,
and we tried one mild and one spicy.
The flavor wasn’t super unique or anything,
but it was crispy, warm, and definitely tasty!! 😋
Totally worth trying at least once~!
